Anna Eason – Recreational Program Director

Hello!  My name is Anna Eason, and I was one of the original coaches when MGA was in its infancy.  I worked here until autumn of 2006 and now that I’ve returned, I find myself driven to see the recreational program continue to flourish and turn out great athletes. I am a Kinder Accredited USAG Coach, and I have also taken multiple courses for my MELPD Certification, which pertains to lesson planning and structure for each class level regarding recreational gymnastics.  After training under USAG via MGA, I became the Preschool Program Director, and I had the pleasure of working with this team of coaches (many of whom have since gone) for about six years.  I also implemented a special needs program here to increase gross and fine motor skill development for children who are differently-abled, and that’s something I’ll always be proud of. I trained under Patti Komara, which was an honor, as well as many other world-renowned USAG coaches. I am a barber/hairstylist and artist/musician, as well as an interpersonal communications major. I love those things, but not like I love coaching. I am over the moon to be back, as you can imagine!  I’ve missed working with youth. I have two sons, Maddox (13) and Dexter (4).  My role here at MGA is Recreational Program Director. I’m absolutely thrilled to meet and work with each of you, and our gymnasts. I’m a kid at heart, and you’ll see that the first time we meet. I wholeheartedly believe in utilizing fun as a vehicle to teach children fundamental skills for this sport. I am very passionate about gymnastics and am even more passionate about working with children of all ages to promote self-confidence and true growth in all areas. I believe in parent/coach communication, and working together proactively for these athletes. In my free time I enjoy: spending time with my family, bowling, hiking, running, foraging, camping, songwriting, reading, and the arts. I am always busy doing something, that’s for sure!  I am completely jazzed to be back at MGA, and I’m really looking forward to working with you all!
